May 16, 2025, Hangzhou, China – The 4 millionth Geely Emgrand rolled off the production line at the Zhejiang Huzhou Changxing plant, marking a historic milestone for Geely Auto. This moment not only set records and cemented Geely Emgrand’s reputation as a global name in the B-segmentsedan market. This achievement signals a bold shift for Chinese automakers, moving from industrial strength to global value creation. The Emgrand’s journey to produce 4 million units is filled with pioneeringtriumphs. Since its debut, the Emgrand has claimed six “firsts and uniqueness” in Chinese automotive history, earning its title as the “national champion sedan.” It became the first to achieve monthly sales exceeding 60,000 units and the first to secure export exemption qualifications. For nine years, it has held a spot in China’s top 10 sedan sales, topped independent sedan sales for three consecutive years, and notched 159 months with over 10,000 units sold. Certified as the top compact sedan by J.D. Power’s China Automotive Product Charm Index for two years running and the first to earn China Automotive Research Institute’s reliability certification.
